Nambale MP Geoffrey Mulanya Disowns Linda Mwananchi Coalition, Warns Against Fake Endorsement

Geoffrey Ekesa Mulanya, the Member of Parliament for Nambale Constituency, has come out strongly to distance himself from the Linda Mwananchi Party coalition following the circulation of a controversial campaign poster bearing his image without his consent.

In a public notice shared on his Facebook page, the legislator expressed his displeasure at being associated with the political coalition, making it clear that he had neither joined nor given his blessing to the movement.

The statement has since gone viral on social media, sparking discussions about the authenticity of political endorsements in the lead-up to what appears to be an important political event.

"I wish to categorically distance myself from the purported Linda Mwananchi Party coalition and the information being circulated through the attached poster," Mulanya stated in the notice, emphasizing the seriousness of the matter. He went on to clarify that he had not authorized anyone to use his name, image, title, or his office in connection with the coalition or any related political activities.

The MP expressed concern that the unauthorized use of his photograph and details is misleading and creates a false picture of his political position and allegiances. This, he argued, could confuse his constituents and supporters about his actual political stance.

Mulanya took the opportunity to urge the general public, his supporters, and the people of Nambale to be cautious about the poster and to treat any information linking him to the alleged coalition with skepticism.

Reaffirming his commitment to his constituents, Mulanya assured the people of Nambale Constituency that he remains dedicated to serving them diligently.

He promised to communicate all official political decisions through his authorized communication channels, ensuring transparency and authenticity in all his engagements with the public.

The MP has directed those responsible for creating and spreading the misleading poster to stop its distribution immediately and remove it from all online platforms.

He made it clear that failure to comply with this directive would leave him with no choice but to pursue appropriate legal action against those involved in the unauthorized use of his image.
