A family of four has died following a horrific domestic dispute in the Oasis area of Kiganjo, Thika. What started as a night like any other ended in pain and grief that has left the whole community shaken.
According to reports, the father attacked his wife and children by pouring acid on them. He then tried to set their house on fire. Neighbors say they heard loud screams but by the time help came, the damage had already been done.
The mother, father, and one child died from their injuries first. The fourth family member, a young child, was rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital. Doctors tried their best to save the child, but sadly, the little one passed away today while receiving treatment.
People living in the Oasis area are struggling to understand what led to such violence. Many are asking why the man would harm his own family in such a cruel way.
“We are in shock. They were a quiet family,” one neighbor said. “We never saw this coming.”
